Songs of the British Isles
The past three months and what's ahead
We’re happily singing our way through the year and rehearsing strongly for our main concert in Buderim on 12 October. In the past three months, we entertained residents at Sundale Aged Care, Palmwoods, and undertook two recruitment initiatives. We’re keen to recruit new members and recently performed a bracket of favourites at the Buderim Men’s Shed monthly meeting and held an open rehearsal at Buderim Gardens Village. Upcoming activities include:

The year so far
It's been a good start to 2025 with the following performances delivered to appreciative audiences: 20 March - Arcare Aged Care, Peregian Springs 26 March - Suncare Community Centre, Maroochydore 03 April - Glasshouse Aged Care, Beerwah 24 April - ANZAC service, Buderim Private Hospital |
New-look website
The choir went live with its new-look website on Monday 10 March. It's a work-in-progress and just one of several actions underway to help ensure the choir serves the Sunshine Coast community effectively. Rehearsals are going strongly and new members are settling in well. Recruitment is a continuous process for us so if you're thinking of joining a choir, any time is a good time - but right now is best. |
Rehearsal resumption 2025
Weekly rehearsals resume on Monday 27 January 2025 at the Buderim Men’s Shed, 38 Advance Road, Kuluin, 4558. Start time is 1.30pm and new members are most welcome. Phone 0478 589 517 for any enquiries. |
Committee for 2025
Choir members are delighted to welcome Sunshine Coast Council Mayor, Rosanna Natoli, as the choir’s patron. We look forward to a close association with Mayor Natoli and to seeing her in the audience at our next concert. We are planning on a big year in 2025, with a wide variety of songs and are looking to increase choir numbers to enable the choir to be more flexible. The choir has elected a new committee for 2025 consisting of President – Barry Leigh, Vice-President - Steve Abrahamson, Secretary - Greg L’Estrange, Treasurer - John Johnson and committee members - Neville Cuthbert, Allan Herring and Noel Williams. The picture shows the new committee members with conductor, Stuart Hill. | |||
